A February 2026 study (1) with 63 participants aged 25 to 65 with partial supraspinatus tendon tears compared physiotherapy alone and physiotherapy combined with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) asd treatments. The control group received only physical therapy, while the treatment group received physical therapy plus two ultrasound-guided PRP injections. Results showed that the treatment group had a significantly greater reduction in tendon tear size and better clinical improvements than the control group.
